The recent political situation in Afghanistan is distressing and alarms the policy makers and thinkers alike on the future of Afghan people. The 20 years of US intervention in Afghan was found hopeful for International community, but within few days after the US withdrawal, we have seen the legitimate leader (President) of Afghanistan fleeing and following the fall of Kabul, the terrorists group Taliban has taken the control of the state.
There are number of issue areas do light the political developments in Afghanistan, such as the state recognition and sovereignty, the credibility of American intervention, the principles of responsibility to protect, the humanitarian crisis, migration, security, regional complex, and the life and liberty of Afghan people.

On the Special Day of Kargil Vijay Diwas 26 July 2021 Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS organised a National Webinar. The Students and Faculties had a privilege and opportunity to get information, knowledge and have an interaction with Major General Alok Raj (PVSM) and (AVSM) of Indian Army who awarded with Ati Vishtisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) by the Government of India for “Distinguished Service of Exceptional order and Most Exceptional order in 2019 and 2021, respectively by the President of India.
The Officer General educated the students providing them with the insights and knowledge of what happened before and during the Kargil War 1999 and how the operation Vijay was declared successful by the then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihar Vajpayee. The Officer General motivated and inspired all the students who participated in the national webinar and stated not to forget our fundamental duties as enshrined in our Constitution of India

The IPR Department had organized a webinar on World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought for the students of our college on June 17,2021. The Speaker for the lecture was Prof . J K MONY ANGELUS, who is presently working with government law college Chengalpattu having specialized in this topic . Dr.Anju Mohan introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students. He started the session with exhibiting certain pictures related to the topic: Causes Of Desertification And Drought and Its Impact On Climate Change And Steps To Achieve Sustainable Development Goals. He explained the importance of this day by stating that it is to educate one and all about desertification, land degradation and drought issues, and how to tackle it.In this way Sirhad given us an enlightened session for our students and the programme was attended by all the students in my class without any absentees. and also some other students from other universities.

On 17th June 2021, Department of Bunsiness Law conducted a national Webinar on “Blood Donation and Legal Frame Work'. Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Prof.Dr.RajKumar, Mr. AP Raghu Uttaman, Mrs. S. P. Vidyassri, Mrs. B.Sangeetha Tomer , Dr.K.S.Shoba Jasmin, Mrs.Renuga, Dr.Chandrasekar, Mr.Suresh Babu Narayana Rayadurgam and Ms.Koppolu Chaitra were presented papers on different topics. Each speaker had the floor for about 30 minutes and we conducted a short Q&A at the end of the session. We had more than 80 participants totally.
On 15th June 2021, Department of Business Law conducted a national Webinar on “Law and Practice”'. Advocate Parimala Parigi, was the distinguished speaker for the session. More than 50 students from other colleges participated in the webinar.
