Inauguration of the Department of Commerce

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr.Asha Sundaram, Principal, Saveetha School of Law, the formal inauguration of the Department of Commerce at Saveetha School of Law was held on July 10, 2024 at 9.00 a.m. in the New Moot Court Hall by Shri.Alex Paul Menon, IAS, Development Commissioner, MEPZ, Tambaram in a grand manner. Around two hundred and fifty B.Com LLB students had participated in the Inauguration ceremony. Our beloved Principal ma’am, Prof. Dr.Asha Sundaram delivered a welcome address and introduced the faculties of the Department of Commerce. During her welcoming speech, ma’am has also explained the scope of Law as a result of the combination of Commerce. This was followed by the Chief Guest’s speech which emphasized the significance of Commerce in Law. The exceptional event featured a keynote address by Mr.P.Muthusamy, IRS, CEO, SIMATS. During this remarkable occasion, the students interacted with the Chief guest, sought guidance and support for exercising the choice among various professional courses. A vote of gratitude was proposed by Dr.Jayamala, Associate Professor, Head – Department of Commerce.
