7th Ever Rolling Mega Moot Competition 2024 at Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS

Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, successfully organized its 7th Ever Rolling Mega Moot Competition 2024, showcasing a series of quarterly Multi Moots that culminate in an annual Mega Moot Competition, fostering legal excellence among its participants. This event was meticulously organized by Ms. Sornalakshmi R.R., Assistant Professor at Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS.

A distinctive feature of this Mega Moot Competition is the Rolling Trophy, designed to motivate students through competitive spirit. Participants vie for the prestigious trophy and a significant cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-.

Event Progression:

- Preliminary Rounds: Held on June 28, 2024, the preliminary rounds saw intense competition, with 32 teams compressing 64 students.

- ⁠Quarter-Finals: Top 8 teams advancing to the quarter-finals and further narrowed the field to the top 4 teams who progressed to the semi-finals.

- Semi-Finals: These rounds, held on the same day, resulted in the selection of the top 2 teams for the finals.

- Finals: The finals took place on June 29, 2024, and were adjudicated by an esteemed panel of judges, including Prof. Dr. N. Kayalvizhi Nadimuthu, Principal at Chennai Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Pattaraiperumpudur, Tiruvallur; Dr. G. Jaya Gowry, M.L., Ph.D., Principal of Chennai Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College – Pudupakkam; and Dr. Ranjit Oommen Abraham, HOD I/C, Department of CyberSpace, Law & Justice, TNDALU. The panel's extensive experience and knowledge ensured a fair and rigorous evaluation of the participants.

Awards and Recognitions:

- Best Researcher: Mr. Nithilan, a 2nd-year student, was awarded for his meticulous and insightful legal research.

- Best Speaker: Mr. Krishna Adithya C., a 4th-year student, received the Best Speaker award for his exceptional oratory skills and persuasive arguments.

- Best Moot Faculty Trainer: Ms. Bertila was honored for her outstanding contribution as a faculty trainer.

- Best Memorial and Runners Up Trophy: This award was deservedly won by Mr. Krish Chhabria and Ms. Sarah Vincent with Rolling Trophy and medal

- Winners:*The top honor was awarded to Mr. Krishna Adithya C. and Ms. Cyndia B.K. with Rolling Trophy and a cash prize of 1,00,000/-

Valedictory Ceremony:

The valedictory ceremony was a grand event graced by the presence of Hon’ble Justice N. Sathish Kumar. Thiru. Justice Sathish Kumar enlightened the gathering with his words of wisdom and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, dedication, and hard work in achieving success.
