Workshop on “Role of Continuing Mandamus in Environmental Protection”

A One Day Workshop was organised by the Department of Constitutional Law, SSL on 27th June 2024 on the topic “Role of Continuing Mandamus in Environmental Protection” . The Workshop entailed an enlightening session on the role of judiciary in ensuring environmental protection using continuing mandamus by the resource person.

An activity on “Mock Conference of Parties’ was conducted by the resources persons, wherein the students were allowed as different stakeholders ( Government Agencies, Environmental NGOs, Industry Representatives, Local Communities, Academic Experts and moderators) based on lot system. The stakeholders argued in their position on the given environmental issue. The student enthusiastically participated in the activity and came up with innovative solutions and stances.
